Artist's Description:
Growing up, I always wanted to be an entomologist: an individual who studied insects and bugs. For some reason, my favorite insect was always the Dung Beetle, named appropriately considering its purpose in life. Small but determined, Dung Beetles have the strange tendency to roll animal dung into large spheres, sometimes up to 250 times heavier than the beetle itself. Although a little off-putting with their habits, the beetles have quite the charming and adorable appearance, in my opinion. I hope that this little plushie will help others to view them the same way.

Hi, my name is Kelly Simon, and I just graduated from DePaul University with a BFA in Animation and a concentration in Game Art and minors in Illustration, Drawing, and Game Design. Growing up, I always loved plushies and stuffed animals, so I thought it would be fun to try and design some of my own.
