A Yuki Onna ("snow woman") is a spirit from Japanese mythology, resembling a beautiful woman with long flowing black hair, blue lips, and a white kimono. Despite their beauty, Yuki Onna are often said to be something you DON'T want to encounter on a snowy night, as they have frigid cold breath that could freeze someone solid. ...But this little Squishable Yuki Onna would never do such a thing!! Instead, she'd be more than happy to come inside, away from the cold, and sit under the kotatsu with a bowl of zenzai (sweet red bean soup) and you by her side!
About the Designer:
I have been drawing since before I was in preschool. I also love to design and create things (including my own stuffed animals), so I thought this contest was right up my alley. A lot of my art is Japanese-influenced in some way, because Japanese culture is one of my major interests.
