Many might say that there's a "Man in the Moon", but in some other parts of the world (particularly in Far Eastern and Aztec mythology), there is not a man in the moon, but instead a rabbit! According to those in the Far East, this adorable rabbit is busy pounding away with his mortar and pestle to create the Elixir of Life (in China), or the ingredients for rice cake (in Korea and Japan). Whatever this cute fluffy friend may be up to, I'm sure he'd love to gaze at the night sky or share a hug with you!
I have been drawing since before I was in preschool. I also love to design and create things (including my own stuffed animals), so I thought this contest was right up my alley. A lot of my art is Japanese-influenced in some way, because Japanese culture is one of my major interests.
