Artist's Description:
The Fenghuang, also known as the Chinese Phoenix or Autumn Rooster, is a mythological bird of the Far East that reigns over all other birds. It can be depicted as a bird with parts of various other animals (swallow face, deer feet, fish tail, etc.), but now it is usually shown as a combination of other birds (pheasant, duck, peacock, crane, etc.). Whatever kind of birds or beasts this colorful feathered friend is made of, it would definitely make an awesome Squishable!
About the Designer:
I have been drawing since before I was in preschool. I also love to design and create things (including my own stuffed animals), so I thought this contest was right up my alley. A lot of my art is Japanese-influenced in some way, because Japanese culture is one of my major interests.
