There is a sharp metallic taste that comes from the night. When the shadows pulse, wrapping around you like a blanket. The darkness can be smothering but then you look up at the sky and see the moon and the stars. The wind starts to sing of witchcraft to awaken the magic in your souls. A lone bat flies across the moonlight, it isn't afraid or lonely. A baby bat can always find its way home. Bats show that anyone or anything can make it through the darkness and loneliness. Bats call the night their home, they are sweet and wonderful. How can one be afraid of the dark when a bat is there to kiss them to sleep and guide them through what plagues them? No one has to be lonely anymore.
