When Odysseus first put paddle to water on his big voyage, he didn't splash into the deep blue sea. NO! It was the "wine-dark sea!" And before you go off in search of some wacky Greek blue wine, keep in mind that ancient Greek didn't have a word for blue! Truth! However, ancient Greeks were still pretty awesome! Exhibit A (as in alpha, because we're talking about Greeks here): they did have Owls, including the Owl of Athena, which represented wisdom! So...was that Owl blue? And if so, how would we ever know? Since nobody at Squishable HQ remembers the 8th century B.C., we can't be sure!In any case, this Micro Squishable Owl is blue. It stands as a testament to all the blue Owls that may or may not have existed in civilizations that never had a word for blue! Keep this Owl on your backpack as a reminder of the power of a full range of colorful adjectives!
