Toys for Tots, a 74-year national charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, provides happiness, and hope to less fortunate children during each holiday season. Here we go guys, the time of the year where we give our yearly roundup. What happened this year? We'll tell you!
First of all, Squishable NY is in a new office! We are still in Soho, just around the corner from our old spot, but the new place is BIG.
Almost big enough for all the prototypes. But, like a goldfish in a big bowl, the amount of prototypes somehow seems to grow to fit the space? Anyway, expect lots of new livestreams from our new digs if we ever figure out where we packed the cameras.
The DC office has also moved into a bigger space! It's grand! It has actual offices! Like, with walls! The mind boggles.
Alright, what else. We got a bunch of fantastic new folks - we can't seem to update the About Us page fast enough. We'll catch up soon, promise.
The Art team continues to go through its goth phase - expect more spooky stuff coming soon. Also, we found these frosted sugar cookies that are basically just the top of a vanilla cupcake that's been cut off, and now Zoe has limited us to once a month
because we were all just kind of living on them for a while.
It's been an intense 12 months. We want to tell you how grateful we are to our amazing fans for being so amazing and strong and understanding and kind - to us, and to each other!
Black Friday doesn't have to be a time for online commercial craziness - traditionally this is the day we reserve every year to do some charity work. We want to help out all those whose year contained some hard knocks. So. Today, on Black Friday, for this 24-hour period, from Midnight EST to Midnight PST, for every single full-sized or Mini Squishable sold on the website, we're going to donate a 7-inch Squishable to a child in need.
Our partner charity Toys-for Tots, will choose where and how they can do the most good. We're totally aware that a hug can't solve all the world's problems, but sometimes it can be a nudge in the right direction. Because everyone deserves a cuddle.
