Artist's Description:
Hippos are, beyond their lazy exterior, actually very forbidding and powerful creatures. Stories about Hippos refer to their gargantuan weight and hearty tusks in the wild. But all powerful creatures have to have a plush, warm side, right? This creature is as amiable and friendly as you can get, and he can't wait to meet you!
About the Designer:
I love stuffed animals. In fact, my first and only "felony" of sorts was as a 7-month-old, grabbing up a Simba plush from the Disney Store. By the time my parents noticed it was in my car seat next to my Nala puppet, it was too late to turn back and apologize for their child who couldn't walk or talk yet...Giving up my life of crime, I moved on to more productive interests--including art. Currently a graphic design major in college, I was excited to escape more complex projects and dish out something simple and cute that not only I like, but my younger sisters want among their collection of stuffed animals. And really, what's more fun than art that everyone can enjoy? (I still have the Simba and Nala, by the way....)
