Daruma dolls are hollow, round traditional Japanese dolls that are used for bringing good luck and help with completing goals. Most are sold with blank eyes, allowing the buyer to blacken in one eye upon setting the goal. The other eye is then filled in when the goal is reached. At the end of the year, these dolls are returned to the temple where they were bought and are burned in a traditional ceremony. However, there are so many cute versions of these dolls lately that aren't meant for the traditional use, but just to be decorative and adorable. Therefore, this little guy has both eyes blackened and a heart to show how much he loves you and wants hugs and snuggles!
About the Designer:
Writer and artist at heart, I'm basically a Jane of all trades. You name it, I've probably dabbled in it. A lot of my inspiration comes from nature. I can spend hours outside taking pictures, looking over every little twig, bug, and bird.
