A Squishable is a many-talented beast. They bounce! They hug! They impersonate a fuzzy bowling ball! They...raise money to help clean up the Gulf Oil Spill? Yes, yes they do! Since it seems like no one knows what to do about the oily mess down in the Gulf, your Squishable, who usually spends his time relaxing on your bed and intimidating less sizable plushies, has decided to take matters into his own hands.

So...whatcha gonna do about it?
This Thursday, July 22nd is the first ever Take Your Squishy to Work Day! It's time to grab your Squishable and bring him into your office, classroom, or underground secret lair. Show him what you do all day while he's laying around the house, and while you're at it, take some pictures!

For each image you submit of your Squishable exploring the perils and excitement of your workplace, we'll donate a dollar to our partner, the Baton Rouge Area Foundation*! And to thank you for caring about the environment, we'll also give everyone at your office a 10% off coupon to use during the following week. Tell your coworkers! Tell your friends who own their own Squishies! Tell that cute girl or guy who lives down the road! The more pictures we get, the more we can help!

Oh yeah? Give me some details!
Our partner is the Baton Rouge Area Foundation For the Environment of the Gulf Fund, dedicated to assisting people, animals and the environment of the Gulf Coast. It makes grants for the cleaning of birds and other animals and returning them to health and funds initiatives that will help the Gulf thrive and withstand future environmental disasters. This is some seriously good karma stuff, folks.

This is Awesome! What should I do?
First of all, you can help make Take your Squishy to Work Day a success by getting the word to your nifty and attractive social network (after all this totally beats your friend's recent Tweet about spaghetti).

Then you'll probably want to warn your coworkers about their upcoming Squishy visitor. Send an office-wide memo! Post it on your bulletin board! Graffiti it in the restroom (note, we do not advise you to graffiti it in the restroom). The more pictures they help you take, the more moolah goes to save Pelicans! And Pelicans are awesome!

And while you're doing it, why don't you with a hashtag of #gulfsquishy and we'll list them here! Or you can post them to the Squishable Facebook page so everyone can see how your day is going!
