Artist's Description:
This origami crane just wants to be hugged! Sure, you might not normally find an origami crane "cuddly" (hey, they're made of paper!), but THIS one is certainly an exception! You can hug her all you want and not have to worry about getting papercuts OR accidentally turning this paper bird into a paper ball. She's also simple yet elegant, and sports a beautiful pattern resembling cherry blossoms floating through the clear blue sky. What's more, it's said that if you fold 1000 origami cranes, your wish will come true!
About the Designer:
I have been drawing since before I was in preschool. I also love to design and create things (including my own stuffed animals), so I thought this contest was right up my alley. A lot of my art is Japanese-influenced in some way, because Japanese culture is one of my major interests.
