Artist's Description:
Some say that you should never judge a book by its cover. The legendary Kirin is a good example of this phrase. The Kirin is a mythical beast with the head of a dragon, horns of a deer, and the tail of a lion. Despite its ferocious looks, it is actually a very peaceful creature that is gentle around living beings. In fact, it's so gentle, that it is careful enough to walk on grass without trampling the blades. However, the Kirin can be assertive when necessary. If someone is wicked, the Kirin makes sure that the evil person is properly punished for their wrongdoing.
