Artist's Description:
This design is based on a Momonga, which is a Japanese flying dwarf squirrel. They are small and round, and incredibly squee-worthy. They are already Squishable shaped to begin with, so I think they are perfect candidates to be a new Squishy. This particular animal is also something that most people never knew existed, but once they find out about them, I'm sure everyone else will want to hug them and squish them as much as I do. They're super cute! ^-^
About the Designer:
I'm an American living in Northern Japan currently, where I've been for the past 3 years. I love it out here, and I love my job that allows me to be in the midst of all this beautiful nature. I don't have any formal art training, but I love to draw in my spare time. Momongas live in a forest near my home, and I've been fortunate enough to see one once or twice (although one time was when one ran out into the road and I had to swerve to avoid him... ; ;). I think they're really adorable, and I hope that more people become aware of their awesome cuteness. ^-^
