Artist's Description:
What's long, slippery, has sharp teeth, and tastes great when barbecued and served on top of rice? A Japanese eel! What's big, fuzzy, has a *somewhat* snakelike body, and is too friendly to smother in kabayaki sauce and put on a grill? A Squishable Japanese Eel! I think this eel (or "unagi" in Japanese) would make an interesting stuffed animal since I haven't seen many stuffed eels, especially one this cute! And he's not slimy either (I promise)!
About the Designer:
I have been drawing since before I was in preschool. I also love to design and create things (including my own stuffed animals), so I thought this contest was right up my alley. A lot of my art is Japanese-influenced in some way, because Japanese culture is one of my major interests.
